10/24/11: Sean Carnage & Adult Swim present a sneak preview of the new Eric Andre Show *LIVE* at Pehrspace featuring DJ Douggpound, Eric Andre, Rick Shapiro, Wife’s A Bitch (member of Hella), Andre Hyland, Emma Stone, Ellen DJ’eneres, Queen Latifah, Hugh Moore, Savion Glover, Kid Rock, plus Verbs and Juiceboxxx at Pehrspace.

So yeah… this was an all-star show to the max. This wasn’t the first time. Eric Andre dropped in before and DJ Douggpound (Doug Lussenhop) had been a regular Monday Night performer for years. But this was the first time I produced an official Adult Swim appearance. It was a freaking zoo! So much so that I never escaped my place at the door. I hardly saw the show or took photos of anyone besides the openers (Rick) and closers (Verbs and friends). Argh.

I had so much fun hanging with Eric, Andre and Doug eating pizza before the show. But then their manager chased us away (“Get to work!”) and I barely saw their routine—the room was mega packed. I did spy some destruction of cardboard sets, Hannibal Buress (pre-Cosby routine!) as Emma Stone, Andre Hyland making everyone feel awkward… Lots of laughing and clapping and noisy shenanigans.

Eric and I tried to produce another installment but, almost overnight (thank to this performance?), he became a huge star and the rest is history.
