I’m selling the Peter Steele nude Playgirl to help pay for our new home

10.7.22 UPDATE: The Peter Steele Playgirl has been SOLD! You can still donate to our new home fundraiser. Thank you for your support.

Hello, dear readers. Big developments are afoot behind the scenes of SEANCARNAGE.COM. I’ve been an itinerant rock ‘n roller—and, ergo, a renter—my entire life. That’s changing in less than a month.

I’ve married my partner, Ryan, and we are in escrow on our very first home. What?! Yep—it’s crazy, I know.

We would never be able to buy a property in Los Angeles except that Ryan is a Navy veteran and we qualify for a VA loan. We are humbled and very grateful for the opportunity.

If you are a regular reader here, you know I’ve had my ups and downs. So has Ryan. At middle age, we don’t have the money reserves that some of our contemporaries do. So the closing and moving costs we’re facing are the final hurdles we need to clear to become successful homeowners.

Please consider giving to our new home fundraiser

We’ve got a lot of stuff to move. The U.S. Rocker Archive is a pretty large collection of more than just magazines—maybe you’ve wondered where I get all this content from?

I’ve never asked for money before so this whole thing makes me anxious. I found myself pacing around, thinking about what I could sell… What do I have that’s truly valuable?

Then it dawned on me—the August 1995 issue of Playgirl with Type O Negative’s Peter Steele on the cover. And, most crucially, buck nekkid and hard in the centerfold.

I’ve already written about how Peter’s steel is my #1 post

Shit, I’ve been giving away some of his sexy nudes for years.

But I haven’t been giving away ALL of Peter—just a few (or ten) inches. Until now.

You see Peter’s special issue (ahem) is WAY MORE than the photos you may have seen. There’s page after page of Steele to enjoy. Here are some safe-for-work samples:

Now, if Peter Steele is not your cup of Goth Metal, there’s also Shemar Moore. SHEMAR MOORE? FROM 1995!? He’s so pretty:

Then there’s the not-so-pretty. Nude Keith Richards, anyone? Get it here:

I never noticed that Michelle Visage is in this issue before now, but here she is. I would never have put her face and name together until Rupaul’s Drag Race came along in the 2000s (and had a blow up with Ru on the red carpet AND went to Dragcon and met all the queens).

Anyhow here’s Michelle Visage with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler:

There are some are funny bits (pun intended) as well, like “Winona’s Sperm Wail” (!?), right below Billy Joe from Green Day nude:

Round it out with a guide to sexy rockers (which includes the Beastie Boys, Danzig, Slash’s Snakepit, Meat Puppets and even Hootie & the Blowfish)—I mean, how ’90s is that?

Your cost to own this delectable piece of erotic, rock ‘n roll nostalgia? With NO YELLOW STARS censoring the good stuff? $500, shipping included.

**Please note there are some caveats: not all of the issue is pristine—but Peter’s pages are! Please ask me questions before you buy.

No discounts or refunds will be offered. This fair condition, vintage magazine is being sold as-is for a cause. Yes, I know you can probably find a copy on eBay from time-to-time for less. But this $500 will help us move and enable us to keep the U.S. Rocker Archive stored safely in the new location. And more digitized memories of the bands and people we love will keep coming online on this site.

I started this website seventeen years ago this month. Thank you for reading and supporting over the years. I appreciate you. There’s more to come…
