This was an amazing fucking show!!!! The music fit together into this trans-dimensional sonic obelisk that simultaneously appeared in all the dance and noise universes.
Melanie Vail did one song, but it was great and as she was a natural singer. Holy Water built rhythms out of percussive noise and synths—hypnotic and amazing. Moment Trigger had perhaps their best Pehr show ever—even busting out the guitar to end just about the most ferocious performance by any band that I have seen lately. Bearries are from Chicago and deployed brilliant techno jams that kept me dancing through their entire set. I love Bearries! Sara T busted out one track after another that had me boogying back to the DJ booth to say “Wow!!!” Laco$te was full-on power violence, especially at the end when the band and the crowd were both rolling spastically on the floor.
Kyle did a great job with sound and I really appreciated having Franken’s there. Their dogs are delicious and they turned the show into a party 🙂
