I am SO PROUD to announce that Sean Carnage Presents is BACK! I’m booking concerts after a six-year absence.

The continuing mission: to bring together the best, cutting-edge underground music of all genres in a laid-back, comfortable environment, surrounded by like-minded artists, musicians & friends.

Where it’s going down: The Oracle Tavern in Dogtown, at the edge of Chinatown in Downtown L.A.

When: Every second Friday of the month, starting Friday, September 16th.

What’s first: We are getting the ball rolling with an incredible Friends & Family Reunion featuring Chaki the Funk Wizard, Dawn of Sequins, Dicso Bunny plus a slew of special guests we’ll be announcing in the coming weeks.

JUST ADDED: DJ Kyle Mabson. Yippee!

All shows will be 8pm / 21+ / $10.

How this came to be: I’ve been archiving and memorializing my time hosting so many wonderful D.I.Y. artists—1,158 to be exact!—over a ten year span from 2005-2016.

But all that archival work made me want to do something new. We can’t live in the past.

So perhaps it was fate (or a transmission from Fancy Space), but earlier this summer I was contacted by my dear friend Nora Keyes, the perennially avant-garde and artistically prolific painter, musician, singer and organizer. Nora mentioned she was booking at a new place—Oracle Tavern. Nora suggested I join her there.

Ryan and I visited the venue—Oracle Tavern is SO nice! The main room has a good-sized, raised stage area for performers and bands. The room holds maybe 40-50 people. There’s a bar with wine, beer and non-alcoholic refreshments. There’s also a menu with lots of tasty nibbles.

The outdoor area is safe, semi-enclosed but fully ventilated and airy, with room for perhaps 100 or more, 420-friendly… Everyone including proprietor Jenny Tzar was so welcoming. How could I say no?

I SAID YES! It’s a pleasure to be back doing what I love the most: promoting challenging music and performance.
