Cochina happens Saturday & Sunday—Check out the artists’ favorite ‘Unplugged’ moments!

We’ve been profiling some of the bands that are appearing at this weekend’s Cochina festival. (If you haven’t read about them, click here.)

Since Cochina is an ongoing festival of the unamplified, we decided to also pay tribute to the greatest ongoing festival of unamped music in history: MTV’s Unplugged!

We asked Monolators, Big Whup. Moses Campbell, Manhattan Murder Mystery, So Many Wizards, No Babies, Nicole Kidman, and Kyle H. Mabson to submit their favorite moments from the history of the show, and we’ve compiled them into an exclusive video playlist.

Direct links for iPhone users, etc.:

Korn – “Falling Away From Me,” chosen by Kyle H. Mabson.

Staind – “It’s Been Awhile,” chosen by Nicole Kidman.

Bjork – “Violently Happy,” chosen by Sean Nieves of No Babies.

The Cure – “Just Like Heaven,” chosen by So Many Wizards.

LL Cool J – “Mama Said Knock You Out,” chosen by Manhattan Murder Mystery.

Paul Simon – “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” chosen by Miles Wintner of Moses Campbell.

Nirvana – “Come As You Are,” chosen by Jenna Eyrich of Big Whup.

Bon Jovi – “Livin’ on a Prayer,” chosen by the Monolators.

Pearl Jam – “Porch,” chosen by your fair author.

**Peter Moran of Essay did not submit a favorite Unplugged moment, but he did inform us that he’d like it if “the cast of Bones did one.”
