NOVEMBER IS TOTALLY KICKING ASS :) NEW SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT & NEW PICS OF THE MONOLATORS, 60 WATT KID, THE HEALTH CLUB, MANHATTAN MURDER MYSTERY, AND BILLYGOAT!!!

This past Monday was a big hit and that was because of two things: the great audience and the incredible music!

Billygoat aka David Klein was a real treat because I had never experienced their mesmerizing show. It was an incredible live soundtrack that fell somewhere in between incidental-type movie music, noise, and song. Let’s put it this way: Billygoat was so good everyone came inside and sat down so that the place was packed.

Manhattan Murder Mystery and The Health Club take pop music in two interesting, yet divergent, directions. MMM amps up the rhythm—with an extra percussion player and lots of rhythm gtr parts, so you can’t help but move. The Health Club puts the accent on the tunes and adds guitar solos, and that’s cool.

The Monolators continue to amaze and surprise—this week with an energy that was just like—boing!—straight off into outer space. The Monolators decorated Pehr with dayglo modules and Eli had a spacey white jacket (and glitter on his skin after his spaceball headdress imploded). This band is soo good—always adding this extra oomph at the end of their songs. A little curveball, where they take a wild energy blast away from where you thought it was all going. That’s what I like—never flag when you are rocking out, always take it higher 🙂

Which brings us to…. 60 Watt Kid! Kevin is kinda the master at the explosive live set, and he didn’t disappoint this past Monday. He’s moving around like a madman sometimes, singing, rocking on keys and guitar. All the while the keyboard player and drummer are rippin’ away. So, aside from a guitar amp melting, this was the perfect end to a night where the energy just kept climbing up and up and up….
