I had hoped to make this announcement Tuesday morning, but it took me until now to firm up the details:

Sean Carnage Mondays—with the newest, cutting-edge underground music and DJ Kyle Mabson, too—will continue forever.

However, I will no longer be booking the Monday shows at Il Corral.

Sean Carnage Monday Nights will be moving to an exciting new permanent home very soon, but this Monday we will be at 1515 S. Vermont, so please make a note of it.

As you may or may not know, Il Corral founder Bob Bellerue pulled out of the Corral last month. It’s been a bumpy ride since then. I don’t regret anything. But it became clear to me last Sunday that the situation at Il Corral will no longer work for our shows.

DJ Kyle and I are lucky to have made friends with the most awesome people in L.A. and across the U.S. over these past months. The bands, fans, artists—everyone who has attended our Monday nights has been incredible.

I’ve made arrangements for all the shows. We’re not going to let you or the music down.

I understand that this development may be upsetting, but know that this was not a decision I made casually (especially after building the Corral up over nearly two years). Monday fans and bands deserve the best, which is why I’m making the change.

We have been so successful… our parties are the best in the city, in my opinion—especially for the omnivorous, hardcore music fan. This situation is unfortunate, but we move on with our heads high and our ears open to all the great Monday music that is to come!!

NOTE: DJ Kyle is on tour this week with Beach Balls but he’ll be back soon!
