Hawkwind’s new album, Blood of the Earth, came out about a week ago. I got it then, but am really just digging into it now (I like to listen all the way through at least once).

Although I can’t post the album online (you can buy it here), I can share Blood of the Earth’s opening cut, “Seahawks” (like, the Seattle…? Oh Hawkwind…so strange).

What do you think? It maybe sounds a bit like Gong—not that I’m complaining! I’m in three Hawkwind cover bands, so I’ll give you my full review soon.
