COLEY & MOORE’S BULL TONGUE NAMES 40 BANDS 80 MINUTES! BEST OF 2006!!!
Underground music mavens Thurston Moore and Byron Coley have picked 40 BANDS 80 MINUTES! as the BEST of 2006. Wow!
Here’s what they wrote:
If you are in Hot Springs, Arkansas, you can see 40 BANDS! on the big screen tomorrow night:
FRIDAY 3/16 – ARKANSAS PREMIERE 6pm (check web site for screening time) @ Valley Of The Vapors Independent Music Fest, Low Key Arts Building, 118 Arbor, Hot Springs Arkansas 71901 (501) 282-9056, http://www.valleyofthevapors.com/home.html, FREE
Bobby Mi$$ile of Monday night faves, Attractive & Popular, set this up. Thanks, dude!
Also on the Bull Tongue BEST OF 2006 list is the new band from Cleveland’s Lean Steve, the former singer/keyboardist of my old band, Razak Solar System. Woo-hoo!
Steve was kind enough to hook me up with a DVD of my current obsession, STUNT ROCK, when I was in Cleveland last week for the 40 BANDS! premiere there.
Homostupids rule, so I hope you check them out. You can hear them here.
Here are some pics of me and Steve from the ye olde Razak SS days:
*Side note: Check the “Ralph Nader/Green Party in 2000” banner… Yeah, we fucked up that election big time. [SIDE SIDE NOTE: Those drums are now being used by The Germs!!!]
I painted myself green for the Party! (Though the blood is real.)
DON’T MISS THIS SUNDAY AND MONDAY AT PEHRSPACE…
